Abol Systems began in Seattle, Washington, in 1984 as a third party service provider for the Documentor POS equipment and the Electrowriter communication equipment used in many manufacturing and service industries. We designed a custom replacement for the Electrowriter (1960’s technology) in the mid 1980’s and installed it in three Boeing plants here in the Puget Sound area. This technology ran in these plants into the late 1990’s. We had an interest and a knack for fixing things and always pursued the hospitality industry repairing system components for franchisees in many different chains and concepts. Over the years, we became more familiar with the different makes and models of POS equipment and have repaired Documentor 3200, Documentor 4700, Fasfax MK-III, Fasfax MK-IV, Fasfax MK-V, Fasfax PRO600, NCR 2126, NCR 2160, NCR 2760, Micros 2400, Micros 2700, Sable CT 90, DTS 150, DTS 200, DTS 400, DTS 571, Par 2000, Par 3000, Par 4000, Par 4XP and the Par Vigo. Our customer base is starting to dwindle in models that are 25 years old and older. (Who says equipment doesn't last...), however, we still fix many of them. We are small business, relative to the large manufactures, and have as part of our mission statement that we provide a small business relationship to all of our customers. If a problem occurs, we try to determine our customer’s opinion and implement their solution. This concept has built many long term working relationships, which still exist today. Our technicians are experienced with a lifetime commitment to the electronics and POS industry. They are professional and understand the value of our customers. We feel we provide better service than you can buy from the manufacturer. Not only do we provide on-site and depot repair services, we also provide high quality refurbished POS systems and components. We typically save our customers about 50% of the cost of a new system.
