Five Tips For Improving Your Grocery Store Displays

Your profits are dependent in part on how much customers spend in your store. Ensure that your store’s layout is on point and it will help your profits. A great layout and attractive displays will encourage browsing and more sales. Your displays should draw customers’ interest and make it easy for them to find what they’re looking for.

For a grocery store, you can drastically increase profits if your displays are set up to encourage impulse purchases. Items stacked close to checkout are easy for customers to grab and pay for when they’re on the way out.

Here are some tips for improving your grocery store displays.

Set up your produce in attractive wooden bins or carts

Wooden bins used for fresh produce paints a picture in the customers’ minds that the goods are close to nature. Hopefully, your produce will really be fresh and as organic as possible! There is no better way to give customers’ the perception of freshness as using wooden carts in the produce section.

Show off baked goods in clear acrylic bins

Rack up sales for your fresh baked goods by displaying them in acrylic bins or bakery display shelves. The bins serve a dual purpose. They present an attractive display for donuts, breads and cakes, inviting customers to look in, and they also keep your goods fresh for as long as possible. The bins with their hinged lids should be kept closed to maintain the warm freshness of your freshly baked goods. When closed they would prevent air from circulating which will reduce delicious flavors of the goods.

Acrylic bins are also great for candy displays

Big acrylic bins with scoops should be used to sell bulk candy. These bins will catch the attention of children and their parents alike. Bulk offerings will provide some measure of control for parents to determine how much a child gets. Seasonal displays are also appropriate for Christmas, Halloween and Easter. Don’t forget to include the sacks for serving the portions.

Display travel sized items in fish bowls

Big, clear fishbowls with wide opened mouths beacon customers to grab a few, even when they don’t exactly need that many. Fill the bowls with lotions, toothpastes, soaps, deodorants and other travel-sized toiletries.

Elegant wire display racks make great end caps

Moveable wire displays are attractive and convenient when they’re placed at the end of grocery store aisles. Any specials of the day, or week could be displayed there for customers to get them on the go. You can stack just about anything on these wire racks but discounted items are the best way to put the racks to good use. Stack boxes of cereals, canned beans or soaps or anything that you’ll like to sell quickly.

The great thing about grocery stores is that you’ll do good business even without great displays, but if you want to go from good to great, attractive displays will do it for you. They are convenient and leave a lasting impression on your customers’ minds.
